Rob
Hermann graduated from the University of South Australia with
a Diploma in Podiatry in 1984. After practicing for two years
in general podiatry he commenced training in podiatric surgery
with The Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons (ACPS).
In 1991 Rob
Hermann qualified for Fellowship of the ACPS and furthered his
post fellowship education with advanced training with the ACPS
and in the U.S. at Edgewater hospital in Chicago and at The Podiatry
Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1994 he was the first Australian
podiatric surgeon to be accepted for The Podiatry Institute's
Fellowship Program.
Rob is a Commonwealth
Accredited Podiatric Surgeon.
Rob Hermann's
commitment to the advancement of podiatric surgery has been
evident in his professional endeavors. He was honorary secretary
of the ACPS for 6 years and vice president for 3 years. In
addition, he is a member of the ACPS examining panel and a
senior supervisor of training registrars as well as a lecturer
at the University of South Australia in podiatric surgery
at both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Rob Hermann
is also a lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology
where he has been awarded honorary fellowship of the academic
staff at QUT's School of Public Health. He has also presented
at numerous national and state podiatry conferences. This
commitment has also seen him travel to the Philippines and
Vietnam to participate in humanitarian medical missions.
Rob Hermann
has a passion and commitment to the practice and further advancement
of podiatric surgery. He has incorporated this commitment
in the establishment of The Australian Foot and Ankle Surgicentre.
